Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Engineer to lead internal engineering projects with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure, while providing critical support to our Helpdesk team by resolving escalated issues. As a pivotal member of our IT department, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on DevOps, Identity, and Infrastructure projects, contributing to innovative solutions that shape our company’s future.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of projects within Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for 2nd Line support teams, delivering advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering teams on DevOps, Identity, and Infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT operations and processes, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and the Helpdesk team.
- Ensure all work aligns with security and compliance standards, particularly in the context of SC clearance requirements.
- Support the maturity of IT operations through familiarity with frameworks like ITIL or COBIT
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a 3rd Line IT Engineer role or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure administration, including day-to-day operations.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or a comparable certification (or ability to achieve certification within the role).
- Familiarity with administering Linux servers.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of identity management and infrastructure systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in or supporting the cybersecurity industry.
- Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or similar frameworks for maturing IT processes and driving operational excellence.
- Passion for professional development and learning new technologies.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Location: Bridewell operates a hybrid and flexible working policy, however you will be required to travel to different sites on occasion, in particular our Cardiff office.
