We won ‘Best Information Security Consultancy 2017.
Like so many industries in the world, cyber security is quickly evolving. As demand increases and the threats change, the professionals working in this industry need to move fast to stay ahead of the curve. It’s been predicted by industry experts that worldwide spending on cyber security and data protection will increase dramatically over the next 5 years, driven primarily by those businesses who recognise the risk and take steps to protect themselves and their customer data. As it is such a rapidly blossoming industry, there is a lot of choice out there when it comes to help and consultation. But at Bridewell, we are happy to now say we are on the award-winning list of suppliers who can help businesses conquer the cyber security world. Earlier this month we were awarded the title of ‘Best Information Security Consultancy 2017’, and we wanted to tell you a bit about what this award means, and why we won it.
What Is This Award?
The Global Defence Security review is, at its heart, a quarterly resource for security professionals the world over. They are staffed by hundreds of security experts, ranging from psychical security, cyber security and even counter terrorism, all of who bring their knowledge, experience and resources to the table to share with us. The publication is read by over 750,000 security professionals around the world, and is published every quarter. And once a year, their experts dive head first into the internet, sniffing out the industry firms and leaders who they believe deserve acknowledgement for their outstanding performances within the sector. Which is why it was such an honour to be selected as the winner of the ‘Best Information Security Consultancy 2017’ sector.
The award was in the category for excellence in Cyber Security, and we are excited to say that Bridewell took home the gold! We were up against some pretty tough competition in this sector, so we’re really proud to have been nominated (and won) this year. What this means is that an independent research team have found that, of their candidates, we at Bridewell provide the best advice, consultancy, implementation and customer service around all things information security.
What Does This Mean For Bridewell?
Obviously, receiving this award is a huge honour, and everyone in our offices joined in celebration when it was announced. It is yet another qualification that we can proudly display on the office walls, along with our NCSC certification, Cyber Essentials certification, and ISO 27001 certificate (just to name a few). Of course, in the day to day running of things, nothing really will change. We will still be helping business owners and organisations across the country understand their obligations under the law regarding data, and what risks they might face. Our experts will keep working closely with those organisations to help them test and improve their security and manage their risk.
