By integrating Bridewell's Cyber Security Consulting with focused training in Data Privacy and Data Protection, the Bridewell Academy equips candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's cyber security landscape. This holistic approach not only enhances academic offerings but also prepares candidates for successful careers in this critical field.

In the first three months of the Bridewell Academy, you will undergo comprehensive onboarding, where you will have the opportunity to meet your manager and assigned buddy, who will guide you through the initial stages of your journey. During this period, you will gain exposure to our Security and Compliance team, allowing you to familiarise yourself and gain a better understanding of Cyber Security and Data Privacy. Additionally, you will complete the SANS Foundations course and become acquainted with our learning management systems, setting a solid foundation for your professional development.

As you progress into the three to six-month mark, you will join our Data Privacy team and begin working on client-facing projects, where you’ll apply your skills in real-world scenarios. This hands-on experience will be invaluable as you collaborate with team members and contribute to client deliverables.

Between six to eighteen months, you will continue working on client-facing projects both independently and as a team, enhancing your practical experience in the field. During this time, you will focus on completing specialist Data Privacy certifications, including DPD (Data Protection Officer Course), IAPP CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) and IAPP CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist). Achieving these qualifications will further prepare you for your future role, culminating in your pathway to becoming academy certified.
